Oregon-born, Savannah Outen is a powerful singer/songwriter whose style has an honest tone that steals everyone's attention.

Her music showcases themes of love, heartbreak and growth with her vulnerable way of storytelling and restless intensity. Savv's music transcends the limitations of singular genres, blending alt, pop, and indie vibes into her own sound.
Her music is inspired by all the great (or not so great) loves of her life but, sonically, think of Hozier and Maggie Rogers if they had a song child. 


She had much success on YouTube at an early age, garnering over 150 million views / 650,000 followers. She's been featured on KiisFM LA, Refinery29 and more. She's currently working on her upcoming project with Brian Brundage (Leon Bridges) & Sam Beresford (Winnetka Bowling League).

Tell us a little about yourself!

I just want to sing, create music that connects without any crazy gimmicks and stay true to myself...even if I have to do it the hard way. Celebrating your own true self is liberating and that's what we're all craving these days.

Where are you from, and what made you come to LA?

I’m from Portland, OR but moved to LA about 11 years ago. I knew that was the right place for me to really go after my dreams.

What first sparked your interest in music?

Music has always been my life! It started off with me being really involved in dance since I was 2 and I’d constantly choreograph numbers for my family / neighborhood and put on a show. Then my parents would catch me harmonizing to the radio at 6. I’d rush home after school to watch TRL and learn every dance move and note. It’s just always been in my blood.

Can you tell us more about your journey in the music industry - how did it start professionally and how has it evolved?

I started posting covers on YouTube in 2007 which changed everything for me. It was such a great platform for me to reach people all over the world. I had no intentions for my videos to take off but, when they did, I started writing original music to release through Radio Disney after I got connected with them. It was a fast but amazing time.

How has education played a part in your success?

I was involved in every school play, took drama, and loved all the music programs. My music teacher was a really big role model for me and always saw something in me at a really young age that gave me the courage to really go for it as I got older.

What have been your most challenging and rewarding experiences in pursuing a career in music?

This industry is a lot of luck and sacrifice and can be a really lonely journey so it’s challenging to constantly pick yourself back up again after you’ve been knocked down. However, the wins are so exciting and give you the confidence to not give up. One of my most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my career so far is when Macy’s reached out & asked if I’d want to perform and have my own float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I was completely independent, doing it all on my own and had my biggest childhood dream come true in one phone call.

How does your personal style factor into your musical career?

Style plays a huge role! For me, it’s such a powerful tool for self-expression. It brings my music to life.

How would you describe your personal style?

I’ve always been inspired by Jane Birkin's and Bridgette Bardot's timeless, french, chic style. I’d describe mine as vintage-inspired, graceful and classic. I love clean silhouettes, tailored cuts, neutral colors and pairing that with a chunky/funky heel or antique bag.

What is one item in your closet you can’t live without?

Hands down my turtlenecks. I wear them for every occasion. You simply cannot go wrong with a turtleneck. It’s the epitome of chic.
