THE LIGHT COLLECTION
Inside Lower Manhattan’s Oculus building, everything feels weightless. White steel beams soar 350 feet into the air, curving softly to evoke a dove taking flight. Look up and you see a vast skylight, flooding the space with light.
Inspired by this symbolic architecture, SS25 reinterprets the Oculus' details as radiating patterns, calming accent tones and fluid silhouettes. Our new collection is an invitation to let the light in—to make getting dressed each day feel like the start of something new.
Behind The Collection
In architecture, an “oculus” is an eye-shaped opening that looks skyward, toward possibility. This optimism comes to life in The Oculus, a Manhattan transportation hub that hosts over a million people every week. With its dove-shaped exterior and sunlit interior, the building embodies the resilience that arises when we come together.
It also was the starting point for SS25. By fusing form with function, our Marcella team designed a timeless and enduring wardrobe. As with every collection, the pieces in SS25 are meant to express who we are and what we stand for, fostering a shared sense of identity that illuminates our way forward.
Colors
The season introduces two new calming accent colors: sand, a warm neutral, and periwinkle, an ethereal pastel. Together, they help create a versatile seasonal palette that’s both grounding and uplifting, softening structured pieces and adding depth to relaxed silhouettes. Over in denim, we’re debuting a dark wash across various new designs, while our newest shoes and accessories also feature stone and periwinkle in leather.
Forever Fabrics And Fits
The silhouettes this season build on what you love. The best-selling Alyssa Infinity Top inspired us to experiment with more multiway designs, so we’ve introduced sister styles that each invite your creative touch. Heading into sundress season, we've reimagined favorites in fresh hues, new classic cuts and modern styles with angular cutouts and asymmetric details.
SS25 keeps things luxe with our core line of European fabrics, including new linen and cotton voile selections to make warm-weather dressing a breeze. Each minimalist piece is designed to harmonize with your wardrobe while carrying forward spring's spirit of renewal from one season to the next.
Accessories
Expanding on Marcella's ever more bold accessorizing, the new season focuses on statement shapes and sculptural forms. In bags, geometric pieces pair with convertible styles you can switch up on a whim, while architectural belts feature sleek lines, dynamic angles and intricately overlapping details.
That same geometric lens shapes SS25 footwear, where diagonal lines and curved forms bring modern sophistication to classic silhouettes. We've played with new ways to incorporate our signature Karma ribbed shoe detailing, adding texture and character to leather designs. Comfort takes center stage, with a focus on flats and walkable kitten heels. Plus, we've introduced arch support and a new recycled softening material to our heels so they’re extra plush and wearable for days on end.
