Since October 11, 2012, International Day of the Girl has celebrated the resilience, joy, and power of every girl across the globe. This auspicious day recognizes the progress we’ve made for our world’s girls, as well as the full spectrum of equality we continue to fight for. 2023 represents the 11th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl. May we all learn from those brilliant young minds who are reshaping our world.

Barriers To Education
One of the biggest challenges girls and women around the world face is equal access to education. A vehicle for building independence and self-determination, girls and women are more likely to pour prosperity back into their communities and end cycles of poverty when they have access to educational opportunities (World Bank). Marcella sought to remove these barriers through "The School Days Project”, providing girls with everything they need to go to school. For every dress we sell, we cover three day’s worth of books, uniforms, school fees, and menstrual products for a girl in school.
Double School Days
In celebration of the next generation of female innovators, we are donating double the amount of school days for every purchase on October 11th, the International Day of the Girl. With every purchase, we will cover the costs of six school days for a girl in need - all books, uniforms, school fees, and menstrual products that she needs to attend and stay in school. With the help of our Marcella community, we have donated over 750,000+ school days - that’s over 2,000 years of school for girls who need it most. Universal access to education starts with ensuring women and girls have the resources and opportunities to live the lives they dream of.
Thank you to all parents, relatives, teachers, and leaders that continue to raise our world’s girls to reach beyond the skies. The world is a brighter place when women and girls see their dreams come to fruition.
