Like a symphony, BFCM at Marcella comes to life through the work of a collaborative team—in this case, ours.

BFCM is our biggest performance of the year, and we've spent months fine-tuning every detail to make it seamless for you, our community. Particularly with Marcella's commitment to minimizing waste through our just-in-time production model, each member of our team plays an important part in making sure we’re prepared for this all-important period.

As the moment approaches, every section of Marcella is in perfect rhythm: our production atelier, our logistics network and our merchandizing and planning team.

At the heart of it all, Marcella team members are leaders across the orchestra. Step backstage—we’d love for you to meet some of them.

First Movement: The Production Atelier

Over the years, we've developed our in-house production atelier to be able to address unexpected surges in the sales of certain Marcella designs during BFCM without missing a beat. On a daily basis during BFCM, the atelier is making extra inventory on-demand to supplement what's in the warehouse already for client orders. Setting the tempo, our Atelier Manager, Tanya, ensures her team has everything it needs to handcraft those extra high-quality pieces on time. We caught up with her about how she keeps creativity flowing:

“Thanks to our collective dedication and discipline, we’re able to handle order volumes that exceed the atelier’s usual capacity. By focusing on pre-planning and timely information processing, we keep the operations queue dynamic and flexible at all times. My goal is to make sure everything we produce is both precise and beautifully crafted.”

Second Movement: The Logistics Network

As a company delivering orders to customers in an increasingly global fashion, Marcella has fulfillment warehouses both in the U.S. and Europe. The logistics harmony all starts in Sofia, Bulgaria, though, where our Marcella van darts through city streets to deliver to our main European warehouse the garments, shoes and bags that it has collected from all of our various producers. Within that European warehouse, incoming inventory is processed and then staged globally across Marcella's global logistics hubs to be ready for delivery to our customers wherever they buy us.

Orchestrating it all is our European Logistics Manager, Veni, who ensures there’s not only a place for everything but that everything gets to the right place. Here’s where her head is at in preparation for BFCM:

“The journey of every design involves tremendous effort, from its production all the way to its delivery to the customer. I focus on training and motivating my team to ensure we’re ready. We then streamline warehouse operations, try to make sure we have everything ordered and well positioned in advance, and carefully prioritize tasks during BFCM to maximize productivity so we can handle the high order volumes smoothly.”

Final Movement: The Coordination

Behind all of the production and logistics movements at Marcella is a robust merchandizing and planning operation. Marcella team members are analyzing everything from what extra designs need to be produced daily to how overall inventory needs to flow from continent to continent and coast to coast. Supporting that initiative day-to-day is our powerhouse Product Development team member, Yoana, who's helping to coordinate between departments to help realize the Marcella vision—liaising on constant tactical questions between the production atelier, the global logistics team and Marcella's digital marketing team. Here’s her unique perspective on the Marcella world during BFCM:

"Having started as a cutter in our atelier and then worked across various teams, I've seen how Marcella transforms during this period. We meticulously plan every detail—from organizing production to stocking our warehouses—to deliver on our promise to our clients without delays. We approach this challenge with joy and pride, and we hope that our clients can feel that dedication in every piece they receive."
