Wonderful for both fitted and loose garments, Ponte offers a flattering fit so you can focus on more important things than constantly tugging and readjusting. Our 100% virgin Italian wool is nothing short of a dream—part of its production involves being boiled, giving it a noticeably felted appearance. Our Merino wool, both the French Merino wool mix (20% Merino wool, 80% acrylic) and the 100% Italian extra fine Merino wool, are of fine fibers resulting in soft, lighter, and more flexible garments.

A more feminine take on essential outerwear, our best-selling Elizabeth is oversized and relaxed with a boxy silhouette, roomy sleeves and longer length. Her silky-soft lining is made in Germany, helping you that much more to survive the wintry elements while staying warm and dry. Elizabeth is generously cut for layering to extend wear through the coldest weather.
This design has an intentionally oversized fit. For a less oversized look, or if in-between sizes, we recommend sizing down.
Designed with strong magnetic clasps for a secure closure. For best wear, open them gently to avoid tension on the stitching.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. This coat is exactly what I was dreaming about. I was a little skeptical first, never heard of Marcella. And I was worried I will get a mediocre product for high price. But considering the quality the price is actually very reasonable. Right after I took out of the box (beautiful and stylish box) I knew this is the one. High quality material, beautifully put together. I love the way I look in it. Way to go Marcella! They are contradicting reviews about sizing, some say size down, some say stay with your size. Both are right. The coat is narrow in the hip area. So if you are hourglass figure stay with your size. If you have thin hips size down for a more sleek (and mannish) look. I did size down and I think it was a right choice for me. I can still wear a suit jacket underneath, but I like the slim look on the bottom. Anyways, I’m very very happy with my purchase, landing to order more stuff from Marcella.
Oh Happy Coat!
I am 5'3" and 113 lbs—late (gasp!) 40s. I'm usually a size 2-4 (36B) but have broad shoulders. I ordered the small in this coat, and my husband said just no, it looked like a bathrobe, but I loved it so much! I read a review that said she had sized down from the small to XS, which made a huge difference! Excitedly, I rushed the XS to my door, and lo and behold! The coat looks FANTASTIC! I've worn a red Banana Republic wool coat for 20+ years. I wanted to replace it with something that was more my current style. This coat is so lovely! I couldn't be happier with it! Great Coat!
So I just sent back an XS for a small. I kept seeing reviewers say to size down, but I can honestly say not to. Depending on how much bigger the small is, I may even size up to a medium... we'll see! Sizing aside.... this coat is FABULOUS. It's everything I've been searching for. Super well made and very swanky. When clasped closed, the shape is tapered, so if you have a medium/large butt definitely don't size down unless you want the shape of it to stick out. Looking forward to wearing mine out once I get the right size!

This coat is elegant and stunning. I will say that the closure is just above the waist - so it won't keep your chest area warm. Really warm but the snaps are magnetic and do not hold shut well. They snaps are also very low and therefore the coat closes at your stomach and not at your chest, which is unusual for a winter coat.
