Our 100% virgin Italian wool is nothing short of a dream—part of its production involves being boiled, giving it a noticeably felted appearance. Our Merino wool, both the French Merino wool mix (20% Merino wool, 80% acrylic) and the 100% Italian extra fine Merino wool, are of fine fibers resulting in soft, lighter, and more flexible garments.

I am a 70 year old woman, 5'2" and wear a size large. This is the third item I have ordered from Marcella. I also purchased 2 of the Tompkins Sweatshirt dresses. I am not trying to look young for my age, but to look good. I believe in aging gracefully. I do enjoy appropriate fashion. All three items fit what I'm looking for perfectly and make me feel great!! I ordered the S and the M sizes. Based on measurements, I should be a medium, but the size recommender said I should get a small. The small fit, but the neck was a little tighter than I would like, soI went with medium. If this had been an open-neck top, the small would have been fine - the material has a lot of give. I’m 5’8 and 137 lbs for reference.

The fabric and color of this turtleneck is beautiful! I normally wear a M or L in tops, but the neck was just too tight. I even tried the XL hoping the neck would be okay, but it was still too tight. I would buy one of every color if the neck was comfortable! The fabric is thick and had body and would not sag if they could make the neck just a bit roomier. Plus, I think it would be more attractive with softer folds around the neck.
