“Zero-waste is a form of creative patternmaking that utilizes a fabric's full width without leaving any leftover fabric cuttings. Conventional patternmaking has gaps between patterns, which creates excess fabric waste that often ends up in landfills. By eliminating this waste at the source, the zero-waste method reduces a garment’s environmental impact. For SS26, I pursued this technique as part of our ongoing commitment to more responsible design. Advancing sustainability—and ultimately circularity—can be approached from a multitude of angles. In this instance, I chose to approach it at the design level.”
