Our 100% virgin Italian wool is nothing short of a dream—part of its production involves being boiled, giving it a noticeably felted appearance. Our Merino wool, both the French Merino wool mix (20% Merino wool, 80% acrylic) and the 100% Italian extra fine Merino wool, are of fine fibers resulting in soft, lighter, and more flexible garments.

The Marcella NYC Sierra dress is an absolute gem, and I can't help but give it a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars. When I first put on the Sierra dress, I did notice that the sleeves were quite tight. However, I was pleasantly surprised that they loosened up after about an hour of wearing it. This speaks to the quality of the fabric and its ability to adapt to your body for a comfortable fit. I also noticed a real lint-attraction issue right out of the package, but this was significantly reduced after the first wash-and-wear. It's a small but significant detail that ensures the Sierra dress maintains its pristine appearance, even after multiple wears. I also appreciate the thought put into the design regarding undergarments. I was able to wear the dress without a bra, thanks to its supportive bodice. However, for those who prefer additional support, a strapless bra is a great option. It's worth noting that a regular bra with straps may not be ideal, as they can show inside the wide neckline.
Gorgeous dress!! Thick, soft fabric and beautiful fit through the collar and waist. Im 5’4 and 180 lbs (a bit curvy) and I’m glad I got the petite L instead of the petite XL. I wanted a fitted but comfortable dress and it definitely is both. If you’re unsure about it being too long, go petite. It’s still very long and went right down to the top of my ankle which I don’t mind. My only complaint is the arm holes are a tiny bit too tight for my fuller arms but it’s not to the point of discomfort.

Very beautiful dress. I am not tall (5.3) and 136 pounds I order medium P( MP ) it is perfect. Top is stretch and comfortable. I worried about top because I have 34 DD but is good. Material is soft. Dress is maxi and I love it. Quality is perfect.

Unfortunately, I am returning this dress. I absolutely love the cut and design, and the quality is amazing, but it has a couple of things that made me decide to return it. For one thing, it is very long - I am 5'5" and it is a full length gown on me. Not to the floor, but the ankle, which is a odd length and would need to be shortened quite a bit. It also has these "points" ( almost like those things some clothes get from hangers ) at the shoulders that refuse to stay down and look soft and rounded like they do in the photos. This would also need some kind of fixing / tailoring. There's also quite a lot of skirt fabric. I bought this for a wedding in Italy, and I can't see this dress traveling easily. For these reasons I'm returning it. ( Also because I bought the Innogen dress and it's perfect in every way. ) That said, I love the whole shopping experience I've had with Marcella. They have been absolutely great all around. Customer service, shopping, quality of product, shipping and even returning couldn't be an easier or nicer experience.

Lovely dress, would have been wonderfully comfortable IF were a bit bigger. I would say it runs a size small through the bust and shoulders. Normally comfy in a Small - I absolutely needed a Medium.
