Introducing SS21, The Window: Our first collection as Marcella

We welcome SS21 as a new chapter, our page 1 as Marcella. What started as a conversation between two strangers on a first date, followed by nearly a decade of fine-tuning and perfecting, is finally here. SS21 encompasses the birth of Marcella - the "minimalism with an edge" fashion you love meeting the mission of advancing women and girls globally.

The Window

SS21 takes its particular inspiration from the geometric, clean lines of the windows in our own physical spaces. As we've lived more inside this year than ever before, windows have helped our own team re-envision life, being literal openings to the world as well as metaphors for hope, change and the courage to evolve.

On the design side, we've started SS21 (of course) by bringing back the same European locally-sourced fabrics that give every Marcella piece the luxe you love - premium ponte, jersey, sheer jersey, cotton, and linen. In line with our ongoing commitment to minimizing ever more our ecological impact, we’re also introducing TENCEL lyocell jersey and 100% organic cotton. As a parallel to the blue skies that pour in through our windows, we feature this season classic light blue and bright teal blue as accents. Yes, SS21 is a blend of classic Marcella with yet another step into a more sustainable and colorful direction.

We've continued SS21 by revisiting some of our long-time favorite designs and reimagining others, the aim being to ensure we are perfecting our products while keeping the elements you know and love. You’ll find cutouts on shirts, thumbholes on dresses, cold-shoulder draped tops and many other familiar and not-so-familiar silhouettes.

Also mixed into SS21 are entirely new concepts. Later in the season, excitingly, you will meet many signature one-shoulder designs. And, for the first time ever, we are releasing a Downtown Tee collection, composed of 100% organic cotton tees and a fun game of creative word play among our team to find concepts that represent both you and our values here at Marcella.

Just as we think you are minimalist, bold, grateful, and resilient, we've also selected some new faces that reflect this same edgy, cool spirit, bringing together a more diverse group of models as our muses.
