Marcella launched the School Days Project in April 2021, and each one of our designs you've purchased since has helped dismantle barriers to education globally. Each style you've worn has helped write new futures, unlocking girls' potential to learn, thrive and lead . The Marcella School Days Projectย
Education is a fundamental right, yet millions of girls around the world still lack equal access to it. Time and again, research has shown that investing in girls' education has a transformative impact on the health and prosperity of entire nations. That's why, four years ago, we partnered with the global NGO CAMFED to do something about it.
Our School Days Project is designed so that every Marcella purchase provides an underprivileged girl in sub-Saharan Africa with the financial support she needs to go to school for three days. That means paying three times the one-day cost of books, school fees, transportation, uniforms, lunch, menstrual pads and mentorship from โBig Sisterโย โย EVERYTHING,ย tailored toย herย needs in the place where she lives. In communities where many families live on less than $2.15/day, a lack of access to daily essentials frequently leads to the exclusion of millions of affected women & girls from education.
