It’s Monday morning. A young girl sits at her desk, opens her book and begins to write. In this moment, education is more than words on a page. It's a path to self-determination, a chance to dream bigger and the spark of progress that ripples across entire communities.
That is what we celebrate today, on this International Day of the Girl: the power and the fundamental right of girls around the world to learn, to live free from gender violence, and to have equal access to the tools they need to shape their own futures. It’s a day to honor the creativity and resilience girls bring in the face of inequality, and one we recognize with joy and purpose at Marcella each year (and every other day in between).

I like to help support education in other countries and I have I’ve been traveling all over the United States and I have noticed our schools in low income areas are so poor and the children go hungry in our country it’s time we take care of our own before we help other countries everyone is always saying make America strong agin it has to start with education and it seems like we are taking care of educating countries before education the United States children.
