Before we toast to the new year, letโs take a moment to reflect on the inspiring period that was 2024. Every Marcella milestone this past year was a testament to whatโs possible when purpose intersects with creativity. Hereโs to what happened during the past 12 months in our Design That Mattersยฎ movementโand to a 2025 thatโs already full of promise.
1. Good Company & Great Style
The champagne was chilled, the table was set and spring was blooming in New York City when we hosted our brand's first-ever fashion editors' dinner. Privileged to be joined by guests from ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, VOGUE and more of the industry's editorial talent, we raised our glasses to the launch of our Spring/Summer collection and to the good company we were enjoying.ย
2. Approaching a Million Moments of Impact
There's one number that has us especially excited as 2024 draws to a close: 912,678. That's how many school days we've now supported for girls in Sub-Saharan Africa through our School Days Project โ via our partnership with the powerhouse global NGO CAMFED. Fueled by the belief that education can change everything, we're thrilled by the realization that our first million school days are just around the corner.
3. Lights, Camera, Karma
Our beloved Karma Boots had their first veritable star turn, appearing on Amazon's hit TV show Fallout! From your everyday wardrobes to the post-apocalyptic screen, 2024 proved that these Italian leather fan favorites are ready for anything.
4. No Compromises
Since day one, Marcella has been committed to helping sort the fashion industry's dirty laundryโenvironmentally unfriendly fabrics and trims, massive landfill waste and unsustainable labor practices. In 2024, we continued to introduce ever more sustainable materials to our offering. Meanwhile, our "Just-in-Time" small batch approach continued to show what's possible when you only produce what's needed when needed, as we continued to sell over 90% of the pieces we made at or near full price (50% more efficiently than the industry average). AND every garment worker who touched a Marcella garment continued to receive a true living wage, full healthcare and robust benefits.
5. Hello, New Obsessions
On that note (mainly sustainable fabrics and trims), 2024 saw us welcome exciting additions to the Marcella family. First up: European linen, a heritage-quality material thatโs brought our designs a new level of timeless luxuryโand did we mention itโs innately sustainable? We also expanded our denim collection, featuring a whole new range of silhouettes cut from premium European denim that only gets better with wear. Both materials align perfectly with our "less-is-more" philosophyโthey're made to last and look good while doing it.
6. Year of the Accessory
You asked and we delivered: 2024 was our year to perfect the finishing touches. We launched jewelry and sunglasses, while elevating our bags and footwear with Italian distressed leatherโthink geometric clutches, slouchy totes and sculptural boots with a unique touch of texture. Now we've got your entire look covered, down to the very last detail.
7. Meet the Muses
One of our favorite plot points of 2024? Launching our "Marcella Muse" ambassador program. We welcomed an ever-expanding pool of talent, building up a community of inspiring and creative women who are as impassioned as we are about changing fashion for the better. 8. Ranking (#7 in America)
For the third straight year, Marcella was humbled to be ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of America's fastest-growing companies. Based on data, for the period of 2020 - 23, we proved to be America's 7th fastest-growing fashion brand and 577th fastest-growing company, overall. Onwards and upwards!

Your support, feedback and enthusiasm have made possible every win this past year. Kudos to Marcella on a great year! I am so happy to have discovered Marcella in the last part of 2024 and love my items from you. One request for 2025: Karma boots in one more size up! The size 12 runs small; Iโm guessing itโs actually a 42 in European sizes and those of us who are 100% size 12 need a 43. I want to roam the wasteland in them! Happy New Year!
